Thanks a lot for posting it, I totally understand what you’re saying. I understand they don’t get recycled, but they need to tell us of a more environmental way to dispose garbage. I’m doing a research on this, and what I got is people saying we need to recycle, but that’s not much of an option where I live, I need more practical ways…

Compost is not the most convenient method ever, especially if you live up North. Over here in Quebec, like today for example, it can get up to -20°C. I don’t know much about composting, but I don’t think these conditions are the best for such a method. In Summer, the smell is not great (although I heard that with proper care, it won’t be as bad) and attracts little animals.

Plastic garbage bags also help for hygiene. You don’t want your restroom garbage to mix with other garbages. It turns out to be a great bacteria party afterwards.

I know what you mean about using plastic grocery bags for garbage, but here’s the best solution of all:

-Compost your kitchen waste: if you do this, all of the garbage you throw in the can will be dry and you won’t need a garbage bag.
